
Oyster Mushrooms on Toast
Seriously, a recipe for mushrooms on toast? Well, people so often ask us what they can do with gourmet mushrooms, and we wanted to say that oyster mushrooms can be used in many of the same recipes as the boring old mushrooms you get in the supermarket, including making a wholly superior mushrooms on toast.
Works best with: any oyster mushroom
Serves: as many as you want
Ingredients
- Loads of tasty oyster mushrooms, any variety
- Oil
- Butter
- Salt & pepper
- Sourdough
Method
- Rip the mushrooms into whatever size you want, or leave them whole. You can slice them too. Express yourself.
- Melt a knob of butter and a splash of oil in a hot frying pan.
- Throw in the mushrooms, with a pinch of salt.
- Fry until they start to go crispy.
- Place artfully on some buttered toast.
