An icon of European food culture and packed with a luxurious deep umami that intensifies with drying. These wild Ceps are an essential part of any cook's larder, adding a gourmet depth to pasta, gravy, stock, sauces and soups. Use pieces for a meaty texture or finely mill for mixing.
Rehydrate: Soak in room temp water for around 30 mins. Discard any grit or debris that collects in the bowl.
Ingredients: 100% dried wild Porcini mushroom (Boletus edulis).
Allergy advice: Packed in premises that handle celery, cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, rye, barley, & oats), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, tree nuts, crustaceans & molluscs.
Storage: Reseal after opening or decant into an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark, dry place.
Origin: varies throughout season, but always from UK or EU, never further afield.
